Finding Riches in the Ordinary
by Barbara Karen Hodges
SYNOPSIS
Finding Riches in the Ordinary is a devotional using original poetry, reflections, and anecdotes. The reader is encouraged to look at the ordinary events in daily life. Looking at these events through God’s eyes can change one’s perspective. Through this varied collection of poetry, Barbara reveals the depths of her perceptions while transporting us on a journey. And she brings us into these present moments in which we are all experience. The eyes of the Lord give us new insight from a lens unlike our own, but by which we can truly find riches in the ordinary.
Barbara shares the wisdom of her experiences and invites us to go along for the ride. Each poem, anecdote, and reflection asks us to stop, listen, and receive the truth of what she has learned. The words are beautiful, poetic, and flowing. They ask us to reframe what we thought we already knew and what we perhaps take for granted. She continues to thrive despite some losses. Barbara enjoys helping others to see the riches in 'their' ordinary and her poems will guide us on our way.
