Lynne Shipley is an educational leader who believes teachers lead by example. As a teacher’s kid (TK), she came to the field of education as a third career. After working in radio and printing, Ms. Shipley earned her Master’s degree in Information Technology. During her studies, she realized most students of color were computer users, but not innovators. This spurred her desire to teach students in the urban core about the possibilities technology offers. In 2004, she moved to Kansas City, MO to begin her teaching career.
