Face the New Year Without Fear

Tis' the season to celebrate Jesus and be grateful for God's love toward man in the gift of the His son and risen Savior,  Jesus Christ. As you begin the new year, new season and new time - open your heart to the possibility of your Year with No Fear! I have been preparing (as much as I can) for the year ahead since September. But I sometimes find myself concerned about the plans, will everything go right and will there be anything I'm not prepared for?  Softly, I hear God and He reminds me that there is no need for me to fear anything- He is with me. So, I trust in knowing that I must make my preparations, but He is a big part of it all. The joy, the peace, the comfort and contentment that we have in Him is so much more than a "to-do" list or even my best laid plans.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV As we make our way through the hustle and bustle of the holidays, remember to get quiet, consider the Lord and trust in His plans for you.  You do that by putting to bed any fears you may have and focus on all the support, strength, help and hope you have in Christ.

There is so much to not only be expecting in the new year, but also the gratefulness for the year behinds us. I stumbled upon an old article from www.Crosswalk.com that I thought you would all enjoy. I am delighted that Purpose Publishing can send you blogs and emails that support your writing and publishing needs each year. Thank you for staying connected to us and we look forward to working with you in 2017. Please share our blogs, emails and information with others you know that we may be able to bring their book to life.

As well, I am equally delighted that the content we share can be business driven, but is also spirit living and God centered. Being able to share our faith is a source of strength to me and Purpose Publishing. We cannot do any of the work we do alone.  Our team, empowered by God, enables us to serve our purpose in serving you.  We have several new things coming up in 2017 and are thrilled about everything that is happening. Next week, you will get our Author School LIVE calendar! If you're ready to write your book, launch your speaking career or get your manuscript edited. The experts will be in a classroom near you.

I am also excited to announce that I have been given the opportunity to co-host a new radio show entitled Purpose, Passion and Power with Jessica Lynn and Michelle LaTrise. Tune in and share...

Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

It’s the last month of the year! In just a few short weeks we will be saying goodbye 2016, hello 2017! With every changing of the calendar year, it's a good time for reflecting on what we’ve accomplished over the past 12 months, and our intentions to accomplish in the coming 12.

This is a crucial time of honesty in the life of an entrepreneur, professional, author and coaches.

In my attempt and effort to help you with your New Year’s planning, I am sharing with you a short list of tips to propel you into a greater New Year.

So, my top five list of tips to help get your New Year Success planning process started:

1. PULL OUT YOUR GOAL LIST FOR 2016
Reviewing your past goals is a great way to assess where you are in relation to what you intended – look at the goals that you set for 2016. Did you achieve them all? If so, maybe they weren’t challenging enough? If not, what were the reasons?

2. THUMB THROUGH YOUR 2016 CALENDAR
Review your calendar – look through your 2016 calendar to see what events and milestones took place. It’s easy to forget what you did 12 months ago, so looking at your calendar or planner may help to remind you of important occasions.

3. KNOW (AND NO) YOUR LIMITATIONS
Now is the time to set your priorities. Once you've determined your priorities for the next year will help you set better boundaries and stay on target. Keep in mind these can be short-term priorities; they do not have to set the tone for the rest of your life. As well, don't feel obligated to commit to things that aren't a priority for you. Saying no still applies in the year to come.

4. NOW, IT’S 2017 - GET OUT THE CALENDAR
Start a new calendar – start your 2017 calendar. Go ahead and put important dates, reminders, and events in place. This will help remind you of commitments and allow for better time management and planning. This should include both your professional and personal calendars.

5.  GO BIG OR GO HOME
Finally, Think BIGGER – start with your large, long-term goals, and then break them down into smaller attainable pieces. For example, if your goal is to grow your business or write a book, try deciding what action you will take to meet the goal. It could be that for your business you plan to join a MeetUp group or for your book commit to one chapter a month.
Hopefully these tips help you plan for a productive and successful New Year! You only have one life, plan it well.

To your Success,

MG
